In recent years he owned and operated Frenchman's Gun Shop in Clinton. A Vietnam-era veteran, he served for eight years with the United States Navy's submarine service. Inurnment will be held at a later date in New Orleans, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Septemat the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri.
